Chennai, the capital of the Indian state called Tamil Nadu, is a major attracted city. The place was formerly a fisherman place, and later the place developed in to one of the most popular city of India. Chennai was previous called as Madras. Connemara Public Library
Connemara Public Library located in Chennai is one among the four Deposit libraries in India which have a copy of every publication in India. This library initiated in 1861 as one of the section in Madras Museum. It was opened to the public by Lord Connemara, the then Governor of Madras Presidency in the year 1896.
St George Fort
The Secretariat and Legislative Assembly offices are present here. This wonderful fort is situated at the eastern side of the city, on the seashore of Bay of Bengal. St George Fort is the one of famous landmark in Chennai.
The Kandaswamy Temple is in a place called Cheyyur, 29 kilometres from Madurantakam in Chennai. It is one of the most scared place for Hindus. The Kandaswamy Temple is known for its beauty and many devotees visit the temple throughout the year.

The Valluvar Kottam
TheValluvar Kottam is the well known destination and land-mark in Chennai. Valluvar Kottam was built, on the memory of great author ‘Thirukkural’,Thiruvalluvar. The Valluvar Kottam has an auditorium and a memorial of the famous poet Thiruvalluvar. This auditorium has a capacity to accommodate around 4000 people, which is encircled by pillars made up of granites and these pillars contains the verses from Thirukkural.

MGR Film City was established in remembrance of MG Ramachandran, a popular film actor and was also the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu government manages the film city, which is spread across 70 acres in a place called Taramani at Chennai. The MGR Film City is a popular tourist destination and also used as movie sets for Indian films.
